Over the long warm summer months, if we’re not in the vineyard, we’re on the blue waters of New Zealand’s oceans at our favourite fishing spots or ‘Snapper Rocks’ hoping to catch the elusive Snapper. When we’re not fishing, we’re crafting a range of wines that capture New Zealand’s maritime climate and unique terroir. New Zealand is unique, and so are our wines. Our special combination of soil, climate and water, our innovative pioneering spirit and our commitment to quality all come together to deliver pure, intense and diverse wines of exceptional quality.

Founded in 2008, and proudly New Zealand and family owned Snapper Rock has a 7 hectare Sauvignon Blanc vineyard in Marlborough’s stunning Waihopai Valley, and an elevated 10 hectare Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Vineyard in Southern Marlborough’s Ward Valley.

Unbound by the confines of old world winemaking, founder James Leary is constantly innovating in the vineyard, the winery and the business of wine. A boutique New Zealand winery success story, Snapper Rock wines are now enjoyed all over the world.
